What are the side effects of Mag-Ox 400?

Most patients do not experience any side effects with Mag-Ox 400. However, the most common and essentially the only side effect for oral magnesium supplementation is a change in bowel habits consisting of more frequent bowel movements, unformed stools, and an increase in gas. These side effects seldom occur when taking two tablets per day of Mag-Ox 400, especially when taken with food.
