The Blaine mission is to improve health by providing premium quality pharmaceutical-grade products as well as useful medical information for physicians and pharmacists. In addition, Blaine Pharmaceuticals has funded, via the donation of magnesium oxide product (Mag-Ox 400), a number of research projects that have enhanced our understanding of magnesium metabolism and the value of oral magnesium supplementation (publications). The type of research, submission of a research proposal, and selection process are outlined below.

Type of Research
Blaine Pharmaceuticals considers and supports human research proposals that involve oral magnesium supplementation to improve health or prevent and/or treat disease. Applied research projects would also be considered if they are related to oral magnesium preparations.

Submission of a Research Proposal
Research proposals should be submitted using the first five pages of NIH form #398. This form may be accessed at the NIH website www.nih.gov.
